hello & welcome!

I’m a Canadian artist based in Ottawa, Canada, originally from North Bay in Northern Ontario. While Ottawa is home, I spend a lot of time back in that area at my cottage, where the slower pace, fresh air, and constant presence of water continue to deeply influence my work.

My creative roots

I come from a creative family where art was a part of everyday life. My mother is an incredible textile artist, and my father a very talented photographer. Creativity was encouraged and supported from a young age (that's me in the red sharing my love of art with my friends). I was the kid happily colouring for hours and that love of art carried me through childhood and high school.

My Process

After stepping away from art for many years, picking it back up felt like coming home. What began as a way to slow down and reconnect quickly grew into a joyful and essential creative practice.

Acrylic Paintings

Starting from recognizable moments, I use bold colour and loose, expressive brushwork to let the painting find it's own rhythm. Each piece evolves naturally as I layer fluid paints, letting curiousity and intuition guide the work.

Coloured Pencil Illustrations

My coloured pencil work is more realistic in style. The process is slower and more meditative, centred on detail, patience and close looking.

My Inspiration

Many of my pieces are influenced by time spent outdoors. Being surrounded by lakes, sky and quiet moments allows me to slow down and paint with freedom.

I also find inspiration in everyday life. I strive to be present and notice beauty in the ordinary. If something gives me a pause and a reason to smile, I want to capture it. I hope that my artwork offers you the same pause and a brief sense of escape.

Thank you for supporting my work!
